The Late Jerry Falwell

Was The Late Jerry Falwell a Pseudo-Fundamentalist?

The term "Pseudo-Fundamentalist" has long been associated with the late Jerry Falwell and with others who were in agreement with him.  The term "Pseudo" refers to "false, fake, a sham, spurious".  "Pseudo" in this usage therefore refers to "Pseudo-Fundamentalists" as "false" or "phony" Fundamentalists who are in reality New-Evangelicals instead of Fundamentalists.  "Pseudo-Fundamentalism" is actually a sub-group within "New-Evangelicalism".  The term "New Evangelicalism" has been associated for years with such men as Billy Graham, James Dobson, and Rick Warren.  ("New Evangelicalism" refers to those Christians who are evangelical, yet reject the Bible doctrines of Biblical Separation and Christian Militancy.)

Being New Evangelicals, Pseudo-Fundamentalists reject the Bible's clear command by God that they practice "Biblical Separation".  Pseudo-Fundamentalists instead seek to link up with others who also reject such basic Biblical truth, such as the Mormons, the Muslims, Roman Catholicism, and other pagan religions of the world. Any fundamental differences between real Christians and non-Christian groups are often overlooked by Pseudo-Fundamentalists in the name of "Ecumenical Unity" as they work to support the "Ecumenical Movement".
